The Jeremiah Raok Project

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~ Jeremiah 29:11

Equine-assisted Therapy¹ in Ukraine

With the help of our friend, Svetlana Delas of the Center for Complex Therapy for Children, we're happy to annouce that we'll be back in Kyiv.

We're still hammering out the details, but the J.R.P. will be in Kyiv, Ukraine offering equine-assisted therapy¹ the week of Monday, June 26 through Friday, July 1.
We're presently hoping to offer an introduction to equine-assisted psychotherapy to Kyiv area mental health professionals, as well as to offer equine-assisted therapy to children-from-hard-places there. In fact, we're excited to be able to place ourselves in service to The Ark, a facility doing some pretty incredible things in Ukraine.
There is also some possibility that we might be able to work with some Ukrainian veterans. We're still working to explore these possibilities.
Again, we're still hammering out the details, but it appears that we'll be working out of the "Rodeo Arena," of all places, in Kyiv!

¹The J.R.P.'s co-founder, Jason, is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern in the State of Texas (Supervisor: Suzette Lamb, LPC-S). He holds equine-assisted certifications through the O.K. Corral Series, in Horse Boy Method, through the Unbridled Faith Farm, and he is currently involved in The University of Denver's year-long post-masters Equine-Assisted Mental Health Professional certification offered through their Institute for Human-Animal Connection.

Jason is concurrently involved in another year-long post-masters course titled "Adoption, Attachment, & Trauma," offered through the Central Texas Attachment & Trauma Center. He'll also be participating in the TCU Institute for Child Develpment's TBRI® training in April, offered through the Travis County Collaborative for Children (TCCC).

Equine-assisted Therapy in Hungary

Additionally, The J.R.P. is scheduled to be at The Morning Star Ranch (MSR) outside of Budapest, Hungary from July 3rd - 8th.

MSR is owned and operated by Dr. Gabor Gyori and his family. Gabor had mentioned to Jason recently that he'd like to begin incorporating therapeutic riding into MSR's summer camp programing; especially for their campers from hard places. Jason offered "I might know someone uniquely qualified in offering equine-assisted therapy to that population [wink]!" Jason is scheduled to be at MSR's Staff Training the week before their camp season opens to work with staff in equine-assisted strategies they can employ during their camp season.
